On November 30th, 2021 St. Kilian’s German School Dublin took part in the first round of the Goethe-Institute’s ‘All Ireland Secondary School German Debating Competition 2021-2022‘. A team of 4 Secondary School students, Jack, Thomas, Benas and Alana, competed against the Ursuline Secondary School’s team from Thurles and won the debate. We are delighted at such great news especially because the opposing team was also very strong. Congratulations and thank you to Ms Frauke Josch and Mr Helmut Sundermann for their work and support ensuring that the students were very well prepared leading up to the competition. The competition has a tradition since 1996 and consists of a total of 3 rounds and a Finale, that will be held in May 2022. Best of luck and we are keeping our fingers crossed for the next three rounds!
