On November 23rd, 2022 St. Kilian’s celebrated SciFest@School and our Transition Year students got to present their science projects they have been working on since the beginning of the school year. The students worked individually or in groups up to three. The topics of the projects were of their own choosing and have been judged by the school management. This year we had many fantastic scientific projects and presentations ranging from news reporting analysis to aerodynamics. Congratulations to this year’s winner’s and well done to all! The winners have now the opportunity to progress to the next level, SciFest@College, which will take place in the new year. Best of luck!
SciFest is a national STEM fair for schools. Established in 2006, the SciFest programme consists of a series of one-day STEM fairs for second-level students. The aim of the programme is to encourage an interest in, and love of, the STEM subjects. SciFest@School is where second-level schools host their own in-house STEM fair. The winners of the school level then go on to compete at the next level – SciFest@College.
