4th Class parents and children participated in Irish dancing workshops on two mornings the week before St. Patrick’s Day and they were super fun. Despite the early start, dance teacher, Louise D’Arcy had feet tapping and hands clapping in Shamrock Hall and the workshop culminated in a céili dance for all. There was lots of laughter and not a little tiredness at the end of it all. One of our secondary students, Dora Madden from 9th Class, made a surprise appearance. Dora who has won several competitions danced a reel and a slip jig to the delight of everyone. She was kind enough to answer the children’s questions about her dancing career though one student was astute enough to observe that ‘the dancing said it all’. Thank you so much to Dora and Louise for a truly enjoyable event and to the many parents who came along and made the event extra special.
