During this year’s Engineers’ Week 4th – 10th of March, the children greatly enjoyed taking on projects from the discipline of environmental and design engineering. They set up experiments to look at the effects of sunlight and water on the growth of sunflowers, pumpkins and cress. Others were tasked with designing and carrying out a plan to rescue keys, cards and coins that were ‘trapped’ in a drain using given materials. They all did a fantastic job. Many thanks to the EVS teachers who planned and plotted the projects and to Mrs Bowen for her overall guidance.
