The children in Kindergarten Groups A, B, C and D have been learning about continents. They all had lots of fun, and last Friday (October 20th) were joined by some parents who are from North America or have been living there, to learn even more about that vast continent. Just to name few: The children enjoyed a presentation on California by Emily & Mike (Harper’s parents) who brought in a surfing board. They not only surprised us with a surfing lesson but also with a giant image of a shark. We also learnt a lot about Florida from Daniela (Bennet’s Mum) including the famous dolphin Flipper and enjoyed listening to a Thanksgiving story read by Chelsey (Fiona’s Mum). Jing (Augustus’ Mum) had prepared a trivia quiz game with all kind of questions about North America, and Teresa (Elisse’s Mum) gave us a lovely introduction into jazz which the children finished off dancing. Thank you to all parents who took the time to speak about North America! It was a great Friday morning enjoyed by all.
