This year we had three classes participating in the Maths Competition ‘Mathe im Advent’, a digital Advent Calendar with daily mathematical problems to be solved in the month of December leading up to Christmas. All students from 5th, 6th and 7th classes did well and were commended for their outstanding participation as class. A special shout out goes to Kai, Inanna and Colin from 5th Class, Julia, Ziva, Chloe, Tabea and Jonathan from 6th Class and Amelie, Benjamin and Tara from 7th Class who achieved best results. Congratulations and well done to all!
‘Mathe im Advent’ is an initiative established in 2008 by the German Mathematical Society (DMV) and the Matheon Research Centre with the idea to enable a fun and playful approach to mathematics, creative problem-solving and logical thinking. The competition takes place every year and involves over 100,000 pupils from schools in Germany and abroad who compete against each other.
