On Tuesday, 29th of August 2023, over fifty excited 1st class children arrived at St. Kilian’s with their Schultüte. The were warmly greeted by Mrs Black, Head of the Primary School and Kindergarten (acting) at the entrance, before they were led to their classrooms to meet their new teachers Frau Cremin and Mrs Harris. After a short introduction and a tour of the school, they finally opened the presents they received in their Schultüte. The Schultüte is a long-standing tradition here at St. Kilian’s Deutsche Schule – and indeed in every German school – to make the first day of school a little bit brighter and a little bit sweeter. We would like to extend our welcome to Class 1A and Class 1B and wish them all the best for their time at St. Kilian’s.
