Last Wednesday, 1st of May 24, students and their parents attended the Awards ceremony in Trinity College Dublin (TCD) for the All-Ireland Linguistics Olympiad (AILO). Ca 1100 students participated in the first round. We had a St. Kilian’s winner in each category (and were the only school to do so!) – Jacob from 8th class in the Junior category, Michael from 10th class in the Teams round, and Eliska from 12th class got the second place overall and will represent Ireland together with the other three finalists in the World Olympiad which takes place in Brazil this summer. Congratulations to all three on such incredible achievement and thank you to Dr. Baum-Sheridan for her support and effort she puts into her Linguistics groups each year.
