On Monday, 2nd of December 2024, the U19 girls Basketball team defeated St Columba’s in the league Semi-Final 23-21. It was a great performance led by the outstanding play from Sofia, Hazel and Kamala “Naina”. The girls not only secured a spot in the U19 East regional Final but have also clinched a spot in the All-Ireland league this January, becoming the first team in school history to qualify for this competition. On Friday, December 6th then the girls played their final in Oblate Hall but lost at the end by 49-41. Well done to all the girls and congratulations on a great game.
In other news, hard luck to the U16 Girls, U16 Boys and U19 Boys who all lost in the league semi-finals. However, this is an amazing achievement for all the teams to reach the semi-final stages.
