We were delighted to hold our annual two-day Kinder Musizieren (Kimu) festival on the 29th and 30th of January 2024, and were treated to a wonderful variety of music by our talented students from classes 1-6. This year we had over 40 children taking part and performances including piano, both classical and electric guitar, ukelele, cello, recorder, trumpet, and violin and some fantastic vocal performances. Congratulations to all young and dedicated musicians who demonstrated immense courage to perform before an audience. A huge thank you to Frau Thielemans who organises and inspires, and always with the best interests of the children and the music at heart. A Thank you also goes to the three judges for their time and expertise – Mr. Mansfield, Mr Thielemans and Ms. Davies.
On Friday, 2nd of February 2024, we held a concert in the Primary School Assembly Hall which all children from Classes 1 to 6 attended. It is wonderful for the younger children to see such role models in the dedicated musicians who performed for us. It was a great morning with an enjoyable mix of song and instrumental music. Well done to all involved!
