On the occasion of the awarding of the DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) Certificates on October 2nd, 2024, we had the privilege to welcome the newly appointed German Ambassador H.E David Gill and the French Ambassador H.E Céline Place accompanied by the German Cultural Attaché Dr. Wolfram von Heynitz and the French Cultural Counsellor Xavier d’Argoeuves to the Eurocampus. After a short meeting with members of the school management from both schools, St. Kilian’s and the LFI, H.E Mme Place and H.E Herr Gill enjoyed a tour around the campus followed by the presentation of the DEFL certificates to successful students in the Shamrock Hall.
On the same morning following the presentation, the European Union/MUN club, a joint student-led initiative at LFI and St. Kilian’s, took the opportunity to speak with Ambassadors Mme Place and Herr Gill and to ask them questions about their careers and day to day duties as Ambassadors to Ireland. The Q&A session was held in an interview style set up and was documented by LFI Film Club students. Well done to the students involved and their teachers Mr Moore and Herr Weyers for a well-organized interview enjoyed by all.
