On March 3rd, 2025 a group of 5th class students proudly represented St. Kilian’s at the ESB Science Blast Exhibition 2025 taking place in the RDS, showcasing their projects on the impact of climate change on marine life – How does Climate Change affect the acidity of the ocean? Both groups explored thought-provoking questions about the ocean, investigating how ocean acidification and the increase of algae blooms are affecting marine ecosystems. Their research, creativity, and enthusiasm shone through as they confidently presented their findings to judges, fellow students, and visitors. Most importantly, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork and represented St. Kilian’s with pride. Thank you to the Science Blast Team and to Graham and Nathan from FM104 for stopping by and interviewing our young scientists. A huge well done and congratulations to all students involved and to Ms Bowen for her guidance and support throughout the project!
