Parents’ Association
What is the Parents’ Association (PA)?
- A body of parents aiming to act as the voice of the parents whose children are attending the school
- An intermediary between parents, the teachers and the school management
- Comprised of one or two parent representatives from each class in the school, from Kindergarten through to Secondary School
What does the PA do?
- Fosters social interaction between parents with the aim of nurturing the sense of school community
- Informs and consults the parents regarding school plans and activities
- Enhances communication between the parents and school management
- Organises and encourages parents’ participation in school fundraising and other events throughout the year.
- Keeps parents informed of parent information evenings and activities. Please register your email address with the Parents’ Association at pa@kilians.com.
Fundamentally the character of the Parents’ Association is reflective of the school ethos; it is diverse and inclusive. We are a hands-on group of volunteers whose aim is to encourage parents to meet and get to know each other in order to enhance the sense of community within our school. We encourage you to contact your class representative if you wish to have an issue brought up at a PA meeting. Please note that queries concerning individual students/teachers may not be raised through the PA, but should be processed through the school authorities. We are always looking for volunteers; please consider volunteering as representative for your class OR registering your particular skill or interest (Drama, Science, Art, Business, etc.) with the PA so that the school community can benefit. Please contact us at pa@kilians.com with any queries you may have.
