Match Report

The u19s girls team played St. Kilians of Bray in the quarter final of the league cup last Thursday. It was a dominant first half display by our girls with plenty of chances created. An excellent Nina Heisterkamp corner was converted by Maria Filipova to give us a 1-0 lead going in to the second half. 

The girls grew stronger as the game went on with some excellent performances all around the pitch. Tess Purser (as always) solid at the back winning everything in the air with her partner in crime Anna Sheeran putting in an equally good performance. Ella Doherty was a handful for their defence with her pace down the left causing them real problems. The list of star performers in this game could go on for St. Kilians but it was our experienced captain Nina Heisterkamp who took the headlines scoring a hatrick in the second half to give St. Kilians a 4-0 win and make sure we progress to the Semi Final.
