End of term Newsletter March 2018 - St. Kilian's German School, Dublin

A busy and successful term comes to an end

The most notable achievement of the last school term was the successful completion of the German Curricular Stream (Sek1) by the pilot group in 10th class. The students are to be commended for their dedication and commitment to completing this challenging programme and we congratulate each and every one of them on their success.

Minor Boys hockey first for St. Kilian’s

Despite losing out narrowly in the final the Minor Boys made history by being the first St. Kilian's team to ever play in a hockey Cup final! Read a report on their semi-final performance here and of the final here. Well done to the boys and to their very proud coach, Tom Parsons.

Winners of the Science Video Competition 2018

This annual in-house competition challenges 7th class students to engage with science by producing fun and educational short videos. It encourages them to learn more about science and technology, while developing their communication.... continue reading

Both our debating teams are through to semi-finals

Wonderful news on the debating front – our 11th class Concern debating team won their quarter final debate against Coláiste Chiarán and our German debating team won the quarter final of the Goethe Institute's national debate vs Presentation College Carlow. Both semi-finals will be held after Easter.

A group of 6th class children went to Galway on Saturday 3rd February to compete in FLL (First Lego League).... continue reading

9 April - School reopens after Easter break

11-13 April - Lost & Found display in the Assembly. Items not collected will be donated.

26 April - TY information evening for 9th class parents

2 May - Parent information talk with Dr. Pauline M. Cogan on Special Needs

4 May - "The Kilian's" Short Film Festival, UCD cinema
